This is Why Roulette is My Favourite Casino Table Game

Casinos, whether online or land-based, have many different table games that includes the likes of poker, baccarat, craps, blackjack, Sic Bo, and Casino War. However, my favourite game to play when I am playing at a land-based or online casino (nowadays I play more often at online casinos as I never really have a lot of spare time to spend hours at a brick and mortar casino) is roulette. Why is it my favourite game? Well, I am going to explain why below.

There Are Plenty of Variations

One of the main things that I love about roulette is that there are so many different variations that you can play. This includes basic variants and unique versions, and you can find plenty whether you are playing at an online casino or a land-based one. The main roulette variants that you will come across are European, American, and French roulette. These are the oldest roulette variants and are pretty similar to each other. French and European roulette have 37 numbers on the wheel, while American roulette has 38. This one extra pocket almost doubles the house edge.

All three games basically play the same, but with French roulette there is the La Partage and the En Prison rule. With the former, if you make an even money bet and the ball stops on the green zero, you will get half of your stake returned to you. However, you can use the latter rule to leave that half of your stake on the table. I prefer to play French roulette as the rules that I just spoke about lower the house edge to 1.35%, while it is 2.70% in European roulette and 5.26% in American roulette.

When it comes to a variant of roulette that I enjoy playing the most, it has got to be double ball roulette. As you can probably guess from the name, two balls are spun on the wheel at the same time. This is a fun game to play as you have double the chance of winning with each spin of the wheel.

It Is Easy to Learn a Strategy

Many table games have complicated strategies that can prevent novices from playing well. For example, with blackjack, players have to master a wide variety of scenarios in order to use the basic strategy well. What should you do if your hand is worth 16 and the dealer’s face-up card is worth 7? What is the best play that you can make if you have two threes and the dealer’s face-up card is a 4? These are just two of many scenarios that you have to remember if you want to master the game of blackjack.

Roulette, on the other hand, is a great experience for those who want to play a table game without having to master in-depth strategy. A good strategy that I like to make use of when playing French roulette is to make even-money wagers. By doing this you will be able to use the La Partage rule, which decreases the house edge down to 1.35%. In my opinion, you really should avoid playing American roulette if you can, as the house edge is just too high. So, stick to French and European roulette if you can.

One tip I would like to give you is to learn how to manage your bankroll. If you learn how to manage your roulette fund properly, then you can spend more time at the table, and have more fun. You can start by setting aside a specific amount of cash that is only for roulette. For instance, you could take a tiny portion of your income, let us say $40, and start playing some roulette.

You Have a Good Chance of Winning

Roulette is one of the table games that gives you the best chance of winning, especially if you play French roulette. If you make even money bet when you are playing French roulette, you should theoretically see a $98.65 return for every $100 that you stake. Even if you decide to play European roulette you will still have a better chance of winning than if you were to play half of the other table games that exist. With European roulette, you will theoretically win $97.30 for every $100 that you wager.

Apart from the house edge, another good thing about this game is that it has a slower play rate than other games, meaning that your bankroll will be at less of a risk. If you are playing roulette, you will be able to get in 50-60 spins of the wheel per hour. Compare this to mini baccarat where they can be 120-200 hands per hour, or blackjack where you can get in as many as 90 hands in an hour.

There is Plenty to Bet On

Another thing that I love about roulette is that there is so much to bet on, which helps to keep things highly entertaining. There are bets with low payouts and bets with high payouts, with those with the low payouts having a higher chance of landing than those with the high payouts. Roulette is a table game that has something for everyone when it comes to risks and payouts. It has a lot more variety than table games such as blackjack, baccarat, and three-card poker, which is one of the reasons why it is loved by so many gamblers.

You Can Play Live Roulette at Most Online Casinos

Brick and mortar casinos provide a great roulette experience as you can play live with those around you. This helps to create a great social atmosphere that cannot be beaten. When you are playing online roulette, there is no social aspect as it is just you and the computer. However, this all changes if you sign up with an online casino that offers live roulette (the majority of online casinos have a live casino now) as you can play roulette with live dealers and fellow roulette enthusiasts. To make things even more sociable, you will often have the option of using a chat to speak to the dealer and anyone else who is playing at the roulette table you are sitting at.

Please Gamble Responsibly

Gambling is meant to be a fun activity, so if you start to find that you are no longer having fun when you are gambling, please stop and occupy your mind by doing something else. If you continue to gamble when you are not having fun, then there is a very good chance that you will start to make mistakes that will cost you dearly. Furthermore, it is very important that you stop when the budget that you have set aside has been used. You might think it is okay to go $10 over budget, but if you do this then you will find that $10 turning into $50, and then that $50 turning into $100.
